We pay the rent, mortgage, utilities, and other daily living expenses during this trying time for cancer patients.
- We are not affiliated with any national organization that raises money for cancer.
- One hundred percent of what we raise stays locally in the Florida Keys.
- There is no paid staff….no physical office…just a group of very dedicated individuals who see a great need in our community and strive to fill it.
In the 17 years since its inception, the Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys has helped ease the day-to-day financial burdens of hundreds of Florida Keys residents; from Key West to Key Largo, enabling them to focus on their fight of this deadly disease.
We provide assistance throughout the lengthy treatment process, which can sometimes last as long as a year, and also for up to three months following treatment.
Our biggest challenge is educating the Keys community about the work we do and how it personally affects local lives. We are confident that if everyone knew the extent of the work the Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys provides, they would feel compelled, as our founders did, to help us help others.
